Please join us for the Boston Regional Symposium on Marfan Syndrome, Ehlers -Danlos, Loeys-Dietz, and Related Disorders to be held at Boston Children's Hospital. This full-day event offers both education and support programs that were created to increase your understanding of Marfan and related disorders, answer your questions about diagnosis and treatment, and improve the quality of your life. Topics pertaining to adults, teens, and children with Marfan and related disorders will be covered. The program also includes a Creating Connections Luncheon where you can spend time networking with people in your area who also have Marfan or a related disorder.
Special programs that emphasize fun and friendship are in place for children and teens. The opportunity to bond with other kids who face a similar medical condition can be extremely comforting for kids and give them the confidence to deal with whatever comes their way. There will also be speakers for the children and teens that address topics specific to their needs – away from their parents.
Some of the activities may include:
Josephine Lavoie - Tiny Miss Massachusetts 2017 for Princess of America
Teen Mentors Peter Donato & Dominga Noe
Q & A with the Doctors
Art & Crafts
Encouraging Children & Teens to Create Lasting Friendships
