NMF Teen Council

The Teen Council is a sub-committee of the Support and Volunteer Development Committee of the National Marfan Foundation's (NMF) Board of Directors. Teens appointed to the Council are asked by the NMF to apply for a position on the Council. Being asked to apply does not gurantee placement on the Council. Members of the Teen Council serve a two year term.  Teen Council members have demonstrated leadership qualities and are expected to be role models for the teen Marfan and related disorders community and to participate as much as possible in NMF sponsored activities including local Chapter and Network Group activities when applicable. Teen Council members:

• organize education and awareness activities,
• organize fundraisers to benefit the NMF and it’s local Chapters and Network Groups,
• create content for the Teen Space on the NMF website, and
• assist teen leaders to plan the teen program for the NMF’s Annual Conference.
