The NMF relies on the support of the Marfan and related disorders community to help raise the funds necessary to continue to provide important services to affected individuals and their families. One way to help is to donate online.

Plan a Fundraiser in Your Community
Throughout the year, many companies, community groups, NMF chapters and network groups and individuals organize successful events, including walks, dinners, garage sales, bowling events, office dress-down days, Hang-a-Heart etc. to raise funds for the NMF and awareness about Marfan syndrome and related disorders. NMF staff members are ready to help you make your event, large or small, a big success - with lots of creative fund-raising ideas to share that are proven winners.

Once you have decided to plan a local fundraiser, you can follow these steps:
- Email us at fundraise@marfan.org to discuss your ideas and get a helping hand. We can even put you in touch with the real pros - other NMF volunteers across the country who have held successful fundraisers themselves!

Create an Online Fundraising Page – Raise more money with less effort!
Send e-mails to friends, family and co-workers, asking them to make a donation to the NMF through your web page to help reach your fundraising goals. The NMF, in partnership with Firstgiving, will keep track of every donation you receive on a secure site.
Fundraising online is a very effective way to raise funds and awareness for the National Marfan Foundation. Use your custom Firstgiving page as its own fundraiser or in conjunction with other fundraising efforts. It’s as easy as 1..2..3!

You can use any event – or non-event – to raise funds for the NMF:
- Ask friends to sponsor you for a marathon or other event
- Celebrate a special occasion
- Promise your friends and family that you will grow a beard or shave your head or (the list goes on….) once your fundraising goal is reached
- Simply ask friends to donate because the NMF is so important to you
