Dates of Future Meetings and Events

Coming Soon!

Meetings are held quarterly. We gather to offer support to each other as well as develop plans to educate our community and medical personnel.

Announcements

Currently we are working on developing a list of doctors that we currently use and are very pleased with the care provided. Our group is also posting flyers around the community in order to help educate and reach others. We are trying to get some media coverage, and we are also working on educating our EMS squads here in the Toledo area. We have successfully contacted many of our local hospital emergency rooms and the NMF has forwarded materials to those hospitals.

Current Information

At our last meeting we welcomed Elizabeth “Liz” Underwood into our group. Liz has Marfan syndrome and is an ER nurse at the Toledo Hospital.  She is an awesome woman full of energy and ideas. We look forward to all she can offer our Marfan community! We discussed contacting the media, distributing our flyers for community outreach, continuing to contact area hospitals and ER’s, creating a physician list, and contacting the American Heart Association and possibly participating in some Health Fairs in the near future.
